With the popularity of Wales comic con, surely it's time the time invested in a proper convention centre? Its far outgrown the Glyndwr sports hall and William Aston.

Personally I think a new Kop with a medium sized convention center built into it is the way to go.

Once the new flats are built all that'll be left is space for a medium size stand. Sadly, the chance of incorporating something into the development has gone

Are those new flats actually going to be built? Even with the land around the Kop being developed the Kop itself has a massive blueprint and theres that land down to that wall, is that still part of the racecourse?

To be honest I'm not 100% on where the new flats stand at the moment beyond them putting plans in for approval. But the footprint left will be the same no matter who eventually buys the land.
We don't own (lease) the land behind the kop and we'll even lose a few feet of land from the actual kop once redevelopment takes place. There will be room for a stand but realistically nothing else

It will be many many years before we see any form of development on the Kop.

I would imagine the steel structure itself will need demolishing in a few years due to safety reasons but the terracing will be there for a long time, unusable.

The flats will be going to about half way along the back of the Kop,(uni plans) the rest of the land to Mold road has no plans yet. Plenty of room to build a stand and incorporate other facilities if the powers that be all join together, with plans for regeneration around the train station maybe some grand scheme could benefit everyone. (doubt it though but some forward thinking is needed around Wxm) Over 40 yrs following the town and only 16 yrs of that time has the ground been 4 sided, shocking

Has anyone got a link to the plans the uni put in for behind the kop? Can't seem to find them any more.
