Have a day off....... from being so negative, you might live longer.

The hysteria about Barrow being appointed is a bit mental. Nobody is against the appointment in reality, people just love a whinge. If he doesnt get us up people will be tripping over themselves trying to be smug about it as well.

He was the most sensible appointment all things considered.

Have you ever volunteered your expertises and time to the club.

You seem to have a lot to offer?

You're missing the point. You are right that no one is really against the appointment, its the way its been done that's got me and others. He was only given a 2 year deal weeks ago as assistant manager and that was non negotiable whoever got the managers job.

People aren't just whinging for the sake of it. It isn't even whinging, that's trying to put people down and dismiss their valid criticisms as whinging.

You must be reading a different board to me, because as soon as Barrow was appointed I read pages and pages of whinging. There was plenty of posts that were not valid criticisms at all.

I understand its all been a bit off (giving him a deal as assistant manager, then appointing him manager) but it seems quite clear to me that there was a very good reason for it. One they probably shouldnt come out and disclose because that WOULD be a PR disaster.

Just because you label it as 'whinging' doesn't mean it isn't a valid criticism . There probably is some unjustified but a lot is justified if people don't like the way this has been handled.

Where would you prefer people to 'whinge', on here or at the game?

For the avoidance of doubt, I am not expressing an opinion on the appointment.

My point is related to the way it was done. The professional approach is to always consider what could go wrong and plan accordingly.

Don't appoint an assistant manager (or at best don't publicise it) until the manager with whom he will be working closely has signed on the dotted line.

None of us would take that approach in our businesses, and I doubt the board would in theirs - it makes you look silly and your business amateurish when something goes awry as it often does in the real world.

Why do that on the Club's behalf then? It's ludicrous.

Again - for the avoidance of doubt, I am not expressing an opinion on the appointment.

It's not difficult, it really isn't.

To get it so spectacularly wrong again is extremely worrying.
What did they get ‘spectactularly wrong’?

I posted the following on the New Manager thread.......

Has it not occurred to the people moaning that the only thing the Club has done is announce a Press Conference to be held after appointing a New Manager? A perfectly normal thing in Football. How is that a PR disaster, as some have claimed?

I think that the people who are complaining are merely annoyed and upset that none of the numerous other people who were appparently wanting the job weren’t appointed.
This in turn makes all those people jump to the conclusion that the reason their choice for Manager has not been appointed must be due to penny pinching or lack of ambition.
The simple fact is that they, just like me are fans, with no direct say in the process, and that makes them angry when things don’t pan out the way they want them too. Nor do they know whether any of the so called favourites either applied or were approached.
The fact that the Board is made up of volunteers makes them fair game for criticism, I suppose, though there is a process for being elected to the Board, and those interested in becoming more involved at the pointy end of the Club can join that process if they feel strongly enough.

Go and read the read and identify the point in which he confirmed manager. It is whinging.

Does it matter where I prefer it? Typical Wrexham fans. I genuinely mean it when I say if we appointed Pep Guardiola there was be somebody moaning.

There have been some PR gems to be fair. This ranks alongside the signing of Fondop, Flag Day and the move to the 9 acre.
