My criticism is only , does no one monitor the actual live airing of the cast , if i were the people on that , i would be a bit miffed it was difficult to hear anything that was said , and as they know the assistant , why not get it over with there and then .

I posted the following on the New Manager thread.......

Has it not occurred to the people moaning that the only thing the Club has done is announce a Press Conference to be held after appointing a New Manager? A perfectly normal thing in Football. How is that a PR disaster, as some have claimed?

I think that the people who are complaining are merely annoyed and upset that none of the numerous other people who were appparently wanting the job weren’t appointed.
This in turn makes all those people jump to the conclusion that the reason their choice for Manager has not been appointed must be due to penny pinching or lack of ambition.
The simple fact is that they, just like me are fans, with no direct say in the process, and that makes them angry when things don’t pan out the way they want them too. Nor do they know whether any of the so called favourites either applied or were approached.
The fact that the Board is made up of volunteers makes them fair game for criticism, I suppose, though there is a process for being elected to the Board, and those interested in becoming more involved at the pointy end of the Club can join that process if they feel strongly enough.
Surely you can appreciate that is is rather unusual - and not a `perfectly normal thing in football' to appoint someone assistant manager and then ten days later appoint them as manager?

Wouldn't that strike you as rather odd in football, or indeed in any sphere of business?

Does it matter where I prefer it? Typical Wrexham fans. I genuinely mean it when I say if we appointed Pep Guardiola there was be somebody moaning.
Yeah it does because I bet you'd whinge if you heard people whinging in the stands and creating a bad atmosphere at games. This is exactly what this board is for.
I don't believe Wrexham fans in general are any worse for this than at any other club. Go look at other forums, this stuff on here is tame!

I think those are the correct terms to use. It is odd or strange the way it's come about but calling it a disaster seems way ott.

I think its a lovely thought (ie that people vent on here so they dont blurt it out at the game) but I dont think it works like that. The kind of whinging moron on here is the kind that then goes to the game and carries on the trend.

I agree this board is tame compared to others. I credit the excellent standard of moderating.

Ive had a right shit week so Im trying to be positive. A volunteer board have just pulled off the appointment of an experienced footballing manager. Weve been soft as shit in regards to accepting second best from players over the past few seasons. I said it for a long time we needed a bastard who the players would respect and fear.

Maybe the success this season is more down to him than Ricketts. The strange call was giving him a new contract as an assistant which may have put suitors off. If he was given the job and took it straight after Ricketts left things would be a bit calmer i think.

Its really not as bad as some are making out, we have a board that must be thinking why always us ( losing managers) but yet they dont walk away which they could, then what?

Weve tried everything else and this isnt a bad option at all. People change their minds and thats all hes done. We go again.

Would agree with this, seems something else was lined up but hasn't come off for whatever reason. Things change all the time and though not expected is still a good appointment and can't understand why some people feel the need to constantly find negatives in everything the club does.
