Rather partial to a glass or three of red wine I seem to recall - but a character all the same - no matter your club allegiance we need characters in the game.

I remember seeing him at Ellesmere Port stadium in a pre season friendly between Ellesmere Port & Chester - he had his ankle in a plaster cast at the time and was on crutches - I suggested to him a quick cure - plunge your foot in a bucket of Wrexham lager - Chester won on the night 2 - 4 I think.

The following Saturday Wrexham played there - I remember Keiron Durkan playing for us - we lost 2 - 0.

For those who recall Ellesmere Port stadium it was used primarily for speedway - it's now all demolished and covered in houses.

Your lack of knowledge regarding English and geography seems to point to you not giving a 'toss' about school!

I remember in the late 80's we played them at home and their left back , Colin Woodthorpe, was down injured and went off the pitch for treatment.

McNally was not impressed and walked down the touchline to where Woodthorpe was and grabbed him by the ear/hair/scruff of the neck and threw him back on the pitch.

I suppose Barrow would be playing in that game too.
Barrow scored a late equaliser in that game (Freight Rover Trophy), with Chester winning 3-1 in extra-time.
