I told Graham Barrow himself the day it all came out about Ricketts (he knew nothing to my knowledge at the time about Ricketts leaving) that we desperately needed a striker. His exact words were I’ve spoken to Danny Rowe twice and he is keen to come to us but doesn’t know if Fylde would be willing to do business. Guess we’ll have to wait and see. If he manages to pull that off it will be great business and put us right in the hunt as he’s a proper striker and finisher.

Also told from another person grant will definitely not be signing in January.

I think your right on both counts. Rowe probably wants to move but they have an option of a further 12 months come summer so it would take a lot for them to sell to a promotion rival.

Our main problem is that if Fylde do decide to sell then there will likely be a number of league clubs interested as well. Cheltenham offered almost 200k for him last summer.

If we would not pay £1800 a week wages for Andy cooke,will we pay £2000 a week for Rowe plus a transfer of £250.000,we just like being linked with these better players.
