I was laughed at when mentioned him 2 months ago-I know who I would prefer between him and Kevin Roberts who is looking finished unfortunately.

Of course there is the odd gem but the standard of football in the Welsh league is VERY poor indeed. That said I agree we should have a sniff at the local leagues.

This is just an excuse, it can't be that bad as the Wales C team have gone toe to toe with England C last year losing 3-2 and will do again in March at Salford. Only players in the Welsh system can play for Wales. Until we get away from labeling it as being 'very poor', nothing will change and player after player will be missed.

Surprised with Darlington involved we haven't seen more movement in this area.

It begs the same old question about how involved Darlington is with 1 day a week. He wont have any influence in recruitment strategy which seems to consist of loans from Tranny, Crewe, Slops

Is he involved in COE or advancing any players at all.

We dont even try lower league players regardless of LOW, NL North etc. we dont even try NL. One thing Mills got right was Tilt and there are others. Needs time invested in watching them.

Maybe someone has some real positives to advise on this? Any takers?

I don’t follow the Welsh Prem, or any other league structure within Wales, so I would be genuinely interested to know which talent you feel that we have missed out on.

The only one that springs to my mind immediately is Quigley, and he hasn’t set any records.

I can't say I've noticed loads of players leaving the Welsh leagues to do well in the English system, but there have been a couple and it's definitely somewhere we should be looking (same as the National league North) I don't know if we are or not tbh.

Ricketts was responsible for setting up a scouting system to look for "talent" in all parts of the country. The scouts were also charged primarily with watching the future opposition teams and compiling a report on strengths and weaknesses of the teams and individuals.
Don't know if this is still operating post SR but hope it is as we need all the help we can get to regain L2 status.
I believe there were 4 areas covered under the chief scout.

If not looking at youths due to Moss that is shortsiighted in the extreme. Very bad move.
Is Hedges the Welsh international given Flint before Swansea?
His gran used to teach us in Mold.
