Default Better atmosphere lower tier of ERS

Buzzing after today! Do we think the management will keep the lower tier of the ERS open? So much better atmosphere and closer to the players

Couldn't agree more....it was so much better with the lower tier open....we should leave it open for the rest of the season....please.

MMakes little sense when the demand isn't there as we have to pay to staff it. I'm guessing there's a slim chance it could be open for Solihull but we'll make that decision a day or two before.

Great to see the pictures of it open today though.

I have a new lucky seat so I am hoping it remains open... I can't see it happening though

As always, it’ll be a decision based on simple economics.

Ideally, the stand needs demolishing and rebuilt as a single tier stand with proper concourse facilities below.

I don't think Salford's keeper will want it kept open, but I had fun. NEAL!

Can't we sort the kop end first ?

Have to say it was great to see it open and pretty much full and the rest of the ground looking so fully.

Only let down was Salford - bringing just 276 fans for a boxing day match at close proximity whilst challenging for the title.

Today was like a step back in time.

I noticed a fair few Tech End regulars had dropped down to the lower tier.

Having won today we could possibly go top on Saturday - Leyton Orient away to the improving Dover and Salford away to the in form Barrow.

Will everyone who went today want to go back again for more Saturday ? well yes but it wont be a Christmas bank holiday so in all honesty think the crowd will reduce in numbers.

Simple economics eh?.....demolish a perfectly good stand and rebuild it with a new one with a concourse....when we cant even afford to replace the Kop terracing with a new stand.....just hope you're not in charge of our stadium redevelopment and budget

Demolish it and provide a concourse? It’s a lower league Grandstand, not Schipol Airport! In times of plenty, when the other three sides of the stadium are perfect, fair enough. I admit to only having been in the stand twice since it was completed in 1978, but the view was fine ( for behind the goal).
What would a concourse provide? A few beers and a pasty? Nip to Saino’s or Aldi before the game and then put any lose change in the “build a new stand appeal box”. I sit in the Yale Stand and all I expect is a decent view and a pot to piss in!
