Stoke beat us at the Racecourse in a pre season friendly 0 - 6.

Think after that we had 2 Stoke loanees at different times.

A full back who made his debut away from home, was ripped to shreds and replaced at half time (can't remember name or details).

The midfielder was Oliver Shenton - thought he did well at times and believe he is still on the books of Stoke City.

He reminded me of andrew Fleming who played for us around 2007 every ball he played went across or backwards.

I know JMD and Pyke have the talent but their effort left a lot to be desired, and we've had the opposite from PL sides (for example, Massanka, who got an A for effort but didn't have the ability) but never a youngster who had both. I can't even recall a loanee from the Championship who had both either.

All our good loanees have come from League One or League Two as far as I can remember.
Another player who arrived from the premiership was danny alfie who signed on loan from Swansea think he was captain of the under 21s,declan walker was at the club at the time and was never up to the grade, but he still had more idea than alfie.

Was that Watkins-Clark? I think he's at Bedford in the 8th tier now.

Mason Watkins-Clark keeps Steve Tomassen v North Ferriby from being the worst ever performance I've seen from a right back in a Wrexham shirt. Absolutely diabolical.

Who was it who played the first half of an FA Trophy match years ago? Got subbed at half time and never seen again I think. Sure it was when Saunders was here.

JMD has ability but poor application. Thanks for what you did, but we now move on,

Not sure why people think he will go on and achieve something elsewhere ? If he does then it means our management has been unable to get the best for whatever reason. He was given a fair go IMO but consistently fell short of the application required to play at this or frankly any decent level.
Sorry but it’s good riddance for me.
