25th October 1969 versus Port Vale at home. My first ever live football match as a Birthday present and I was hooked. I think the match itself ended as a draw, but I remember the crowd that day being massive. That has to be my best ever football match.

Other than that, obviously the Arsenal match and the Birmingham match, but I also remember the 4-4 draw at Bristol City being a cracker as Bristol where in the top six of the old first division at the time and where expected to spank us.

Isn't it sad that while this thread was started a few minutes before its opposite 'Your Worst Ever...' thread, the more negative one has had 579 more views, and 31 more replies?

That seems to pretty much typify our more verbal fans, quick to criticise and slow to praise.

It simply isn't true to claim that we have had more negatives to endure than positives to enjoy as Wrexham supporters, though I can understand why those under the age of 15 might think so, and that more mature fans tend not to froth at the mouth quite as much as them!

For a fairytale ending it was the Arsenal game in the F.A cup but for a pressure match when we came up trumps, it was Boston at home to stay in the football league!

I thought we had escaped a bullet (little did I think we would be in non-league for so long)!

For me, my first serious away trip, was Anderlecht away in the ECWC. The whole day was a rollacoaster. At the age of 14 seeing and drinking my first pint of Stella Artois and seeing a Tecwyn Price coach driving around Brussels city centre. We lost the game only 1-0, but it was a cracking day and a moral victory against one of Europe’s big boys. Fantastic.

I've been watching the Town for 57 years so am finding it really difficult to select a best game
Reading through all the above posts and having seen and enjoyed them all does make you realise what a hard task it is.So much so, I'm not going to try.
I half agree with PD's assertion that the Boxing Day match was the best since we have been in 'hell',but Brentford away,December 2011 runs it very close.
Brentford were well placed in league 1 and we played them off the park.
Uwe Rosler walked off the pitch at the end in a daze,probably thinking' My God, if this is non league' !

Memorable because we completely outplayed both teams who were in the old 1st Division

Wrexham 7 Rotherham 1 April 1978, memorable also because it clinched promotion to the old 2nd Division for the first (and only) time in our history

More recently winning the FA Trophy match at Wembley against Grimsby, as it was our first match at Wembley

Those 2 cup games against 1st division opposition were the best performances I have ever seen. A brilliant Wrexham team totally took them apart.
