Agreed. Perhaps this lad should go and support a WPL club. Welsh refs a plenty there.

I’m going to play Devil’s advocate here. I lost my rag with him a couple of times in second half and Grant’s booking seemed like nothing compared to other incidents but I think a lot of what our fans reacted to was 50:50. Just watch Beavon play. He is a master at playing in the limit and there is a reason why the defenders he is up against never seem to cleanly win a header against him. I suspect if you being strict he could get called for foul every time it’s just that we obviously don’t want that to happen. Also we’re a few incidents where their players basically stood their ground and being the size of back-row forwards our lot bounced off them. Finally, watch how many times our players disrupt other teams game. The number of times the players’ amazing levels of graft mean they get a toe which might just make a perfect pass an average on and an average one a poor one. With that style we going to pick up niggly fouls against us.

Where I did think the ref was poor was with his assistants. Most refs tell assistants before games where he wants their input or whether they just signal his decisions and it was obvious which type he was. Fair play to the linesman who got up after that tackle mind. Looked a right leg-breaker from where I was sitting.

Should have been booked for simulation.

Any idea who the ref is tomorrow?
