I don't think it will be as easy as people think to get in the home end. I imagine GMP have a big issue with this and they may insist everyone gets checked for ID.

I think they realise wxm fans are coming without tickets and have made arrangements to house them.

I can't see turnstiles checking id, it's just not practical.
I can't see many Salford fans turning up on the day anyway, so the arrangements must be to help control wxm fans.

Exactly. Easier to allow entry to any travelling fans and keep an eye on them inside the ground than refuse and spend the afternoon firefighting around Salford.

At the turnstile it's time to hand your ticket or cash in - end of.

Can't possibly be going through a vetting procedure to prove id - it would bring the place to a standstill - it's already going to be manic in any case.
And when has proof of address ever provided proof of who you support - our fanbase covers the whole country and beyond - on boxing day we sat next to a couple who reside in London but were natives of North Wales and home over Christmas visiting family - I would imagine NYD will throw up lots of similar examples.

And GMP wont want dozens of away fans locked outside the ground either - neither will Salford City FC - would be better to keep an area of the ground nearest to the official away allocation and put the Wrexham overspill fans in there - there surely will be enough space overall to fit them in - last home match v Dagenham & Redbridge our hosts, despite their lofty 2nd position in the league managed a paltry 1900 home fans.

Sorry to say this has been coming for weeks - it's a balls up that could be forseen and in my view preventable.

Wouldn't surprise me to see a lot of GMP lads outside the ground with horses ready to kettle the away fans , similar to what they did to Chester recently and us when we used to play County in the league. GMP are no comparison to the amateurs in NWP. Used to handling big crowds at United and City, they don't mess around. Any sign of trouble they will be present in large numbers.
