I went onto the Salford City website yesterday and yes you can pay cash on the day. They are also stating if you wish to pay by cash you will be asked to show proof of address!!!!!

it actually says

Home supporters can pay cash on the turnstiles at Turnstile ‘C’ on Moor Lane (proof of address may be required):
