No idea pagl. We don't know what is in Rowe's contract, but Barrow as an ex-Fylde employee has a decent chance of knowing.

Not sure what Barrow was thinking today at all. Seemed intent on playing down the wings even though it was clear it wouldn't work. We saw how poor their defenders are when we play the ball on the ground and take them on, but made no attempt to do it in this game until the end of stoppage time.

Other strange decisions from Barrow:
Rutherford at RWB?
Akil Wright at CAM?
Beavon as the furthest forward striker rather than as a supporting attacker?
Roberts at left wing?
Putting Carra into left mid, then shifting to 3 at the back?

Surely he could have picked a less important game to start trying new tactics and seeing players out of position than this?

They were solid defensively dealing with all aerial crosses and set pieces, could have done with getting in behind along the deck as I thought their two CBs would have struggled with that.

Salford are a Mickey Mouse club, I was in the home end and there was no atmosphere at all, crap facilities and couldn’t believe it when loads of them left with 5 to go.

Well done to the travelling fans especially for applauding the players at the end, a tough run of games and the loss wasn’t due to a lack of effort or application.
Wrexham fans were the only people clapping at the end. If someone had walked into the ground at that point, they would think we won. Rubbish home support and the infrastructure could not cope with that size crowd every week.

2-0 down, so we put Roberts on instead of Holroyd. Not sure about that one.

Carried too many today. Walker and summerfield poor, especially first 20 mins. We didn't win a single second ball in that period. The opposite of boxing day.
Beavon and Grant are too exposed away from home. They're not physical enough and we have no way of relieving the inevitable home pressure.
If we can sign Rowe, who has presence and obviously an eye for goal then we'll be looking good. Grant is a wide player in a front 3. All his good work came when he drifted wide. Has quality delivery from there. I'd be excited by a front 3 of Rowe, with Tollitt and Grant working and switching around him.

Plenty of effort today just started a little sloppy and second goal came just as we were looking promising.

Should have gone for the same set up as Boxing day possibly with Tollit starting for additional pace. Sounded poor first half and then when we got some momentum going got hit by a classic suckerpunch

Have to agree with Pagl with the Rowe bid. Flyde are in with a chance still and will not sell to us. If they do it will be to a league team.

Wright wasn't CAM? He was the left of a diamond.

Roberts wasn't left wing. He was the left of a back three.

The "shifting" to a back 3 was all second half.

I thought Barrow did alright, considering.

If we took one of the chances at 1-0 down we'd have won at a canter.

Now then, January window and as Barrow has said it's a difficult one. This striker we are seeking or desperate to get. This time of year what club are going to let someone go who's scoring for them, so, this brings me to someone who can't get into there first team, we have two like that already, or do we go down league and wave a couple of quid under some chairman's nose.
In the summer it's a waiting game. Now you don't have that time. Anyway good luck with that Graham.
We could get a young player from a championship/ league one club on loan, who is scoring in the the reserves but needs experience playing in front of large crowds and a more competitive match day experience. With our attendances and our position in the league this surely makes us an attractive proposition. As you say to sign a decent striker in January is very difficult.

I blame the Referee. There was a "tackle"on one of their players. The ref let them have the advantage then blew up for a foul for them.
I thought he was supposed to let the game flow ?
They then scored from the resulting free kick.
How things could have been different ?
If my Aunty has bo**socks she would be my Uncle.
Great Support as usual. At least it was not a long journey home.
The crowd was just over 4000.
They had 3595 against Chesterfield.
That's their biggest crowd of the season.
I think their largest gate ever was around 4200 ? When they opened their squad in against a Manchester United 11.
If we go up these small teams will miss the income from our great supporters.
Happy New year.
