Default Team for Dover - Games coming thick and fast

A double header up next, before a break from league football, starting with the in-form, much improved Dover.

Fingers crossed GB can secure the services of Walker and Grant for these games, with Pyke missing and it looking likely that no other signings are imminent, giving GB limited options whether to stick or twist. After the huge Xmas programme, the team probably needs to be freshened up somewhat, so maybe time to risk a few changes dependant on Grant & Walker's availability, with a slightly more progressive midfield. Maybe Beavon & Rutherford and Wright getting the chance to start from the bench and possibly Roberts returning instead of Carra.

Lainton,
Roberts Lawlor Pearson Jennings
Walker Summerfield Young
Grant Holroyd Tollitt

I think GB knows his best starting 11 and the rest are jostling for the bench.
Dont see the need to drop Beavon given he makes way @ the hour mark.
Tollitt worth a start once fitness improves - if he is still here.
Dont see what Grant offers as he isnt a forward and doesnt have work rate for midfield. Wont be disappointed if he doesnt sign.

Need to improve goals from Summerfield and need a creative midfielder.

Dont think Holroyd has justified a start and Young has been too in and out.

Its only new signings that are going to improve us as GB has shuffled the pack enough.

Depends if we get anyone in by Saturday.

If his fitness is good enough I would consider starting Tollitt from the off.

Be interesting to see if Manny gets some game time over the next couple of games - Im aware defence isnt our problem area but the two centre halves have played a lot of minutes recently and may need a rest. I would presume Lawlor would be the most likely to be rested as Pearson is pretty much undroppable

It’s up to Barrow et al to judge who’s fit enough or has the energy levels to go again.

Agree, Alan (the fitness guy) with all the data should have a huge input in this.

I’d give Manny 90 minutes at the Layton orient trophy game.

I believe Manny is still struggling with his injury.
