It means he is contracted to us rather than Fleetwood now, that's what a permanent contract is. A 3 year deal would still be a permanent deal, as would a 5 year deal etc.

Done well despite not setting the world alight, although has been asked to play out of position. Can see he's a clever footballer and had very good feet. Happy with this signing. Make Walker permanent and that elusive CF and we could bring business.

That would be a monumental mistake if that happens. He is not a striker full stop.

He has a contract until the end of the season with an option to extend beyond that which I think means he can fk off if we dont get promoted.
