He definitely doesn't have the pace for that. He's more suited to playing behind the striker(s).

As it’s still panto season...oh yes he is (read the first paragraph)

His 15 goals last season for us also indicate he can strike the ball well!

I suspect he is on a really high wage. On that basis I would expect so see strong evidence of his being a game changer otherwise he is no better that what we already have. So far I have not seen the merest flicker of that ability. I obviously hope he goes on to prove me 100% wrong.

What is Newell adding given we seem to be unable to hit a barn door in last 2 games?

Holroyd must be tearing his perfectly manicured hair out watching these non scoring, non threatening forwards playing ahead of him each week.

He’s got to be worth a go for the next few games and if he does nothing then look to move him on.

He’s adding some extra moping about the place and mumbling, as far as I can see.

Agreed. One thing holroyd can do is score goals. None of our front 3 even look like scoring, they must be so easy to play against. I feel for beavon thiugh as I think he'd be really good in a 4-4-2 as his hold up play is quality.

Didn't realise he was still playing. Can't expect an instant turnaround of goals instantly because he's Barrow's #2 can we?
