It would help by actually starting the 3 of them together in the next game. Rather than flogging dead horses like Rutherford and Beavon. We criticised SR for constantly changing the front 3, well Barrow never does it. Consistently picking the same non-scoring no threat workhorses.

Don’t know why people are banging on about Grant. The time for this is when he plays in his proper position which is attacking midfield. At last we have a striker in Oswell who may be what we need.

Question to me is the manager good enough?

Ok. Lets review this in 4 weeks when the window is done.

We need to look at our midfield as we're not creating enough chances in games. Oswell and Tollitt look good signings but without good balls through, or crosses they still won't score enough. With Barrow we're playing more direct that we have been for a while, but we need a playmaker in midfield, with experience that can control a game.


PS I don't see anything in Grant yet.

Perspective is needed but haven’t won away since October 13th which is hardly promotion form and haven’t been able buy a goal (obviously Salford exception)

Bang on, it was a real stinker yesterday, first time we haven't bounced back after a defeat, proving the squad needs a boost, but as usual RP goes OTT. We are no different to any of the other title contenders, who have all shown inconsistencies over these last few games. Win Tuesday we are a point off top, would we have accepted that in August - Yes; did we expect it - No. We are not going to turn into a bad team over night, neither is GB going to put a new squad or even half a squad together, that will be head & shoulders better than the rest in January.

This is our best team since the 98 point season. keep the faith. Now Bromley (obviously better tgan Fylde yesterday) is a massive test without time for GB to work with the players but I'm confident we will see a reaction.
