Ruthers touch and control are appalling..... but the whole team were guilty of that today.

You'll only get the best out of Grant if you change formation.

He's a quintessential top of diamond/behind front two player and I believe that's where he mostly played for Fleetwood and was most effective. He hasn't the finishing touch or the hold up play to be the centre of a front 3, likewise he hasn't the pace to play in any wider positions. For Grant to thrive you have to play either of the following in my opinion (based on current personnel):

Lainton
Carrington Lawlor Pearson Jennings
Walker
Rutherford Summerfield
Grant
Oswell Beavon/Tollit

Lainton
Lawlor Pearson Carrington/Manny
Rutherford Walker Summerfield Tollit
Grant
Oswell Beavon

It is, however, unlikely that we'll see a formation change and some will argue 4-1-2-1-2 or 3-4-1-2 are too complex, however I genuinely feel that is how you'll get the best of Grant based on what we currently have.

I'm now firmly of the belief that every striker we have can't be crap. It therefore has the be the system / tactics we employ. Who can we blame for that, the management team. As we keep getting different managers I don't think that is the problem. Does Carl Darlington dictate the club pattern on the field of play. If yes can someone have a word with him and come up with a better plan.

His loan will be up before he is fully fit.

Agree with option 1.

Carl Darlington has been untouchable so far but questions will be asked eventually. In reality does a conference club need Barrow, Newell, Jussi & Darlington? Just a question.

None of these players have ever been goalscorers in their career. We also knew that when signing. I think Grant is a mistake of a signing, good player but we need something different.

So why have we been signing them on. Somebody in the management team must think they're goal scorers . I'll ask again who is making these decisions or is it a collective effort. Whatever it is it's not good and shows poor judgement.

We need a mix. You cant have 11 scorers or 11 hard working it has to be a balance. We have 11 non scorers so we need to balance it.
