Default Re: Barrow, Cheap Option & Danny Ward money

While agreeing the GB appointment was a bit of a surprise/shock I'd be surprised if it was a cheap option.
The two new forwards and Grant will not be at the cheap end of the wage scale either.

Ricketts expanded the backroom staff quite a bit and the performance analyst should be able to highlight our various shortcomings over the last few games.
The downturn in results performances and even application/effort must be addressed quickly but I'm confident of a top 4 finish at the moment.

Yes he was and I think I was one of the few that said so at the time.
There was a plan to clear the debt and we could have paid helf of the debt from this money which would then have either reduced the plan by half or reduced the payments by half over the same life.

Having said that and given the history then Morell would have wasted the money of has beens

Its definitely cheaper than poaching another clubs manager, no compensation to pay etc. Hence the cheap option. As

I think Ricketts took him to Shrewsbury with him, so as far as I am aware we are not analysing games now?

The few times we did start moving the ball with pace and wide we started to cause them problems. Problem was the final ball quality into the box 95% of the time was terrible. The two decent balls we did get all game Wright missed a 1 on 1 with the Keeper and Beavon headed over from six yards unopposed.

Yes i was right behind the one on one with Wright, I never once felt confident he would score, as for the header over it wasn't Beavon it was Summerfield, if he has a bad game then they all tend to, he is our only decent midfielder but he tires quickly and lacks consistency.

Let's all hope this is just a bad run all sides have them, Barrow did say they haven't trained much over Xmas and need to get back to basics on the training field as well as find a way of scoring goals, he did hint at using Orient Saturday as an experiment for a plan B

Can someone arrange for redinsaudi to go out on a date with Flowers so he can finally realise his love affair with the long ball King?

The club's plan was to get debt free over a number of years. We chose to put all football fortune into repaying the debt earlier where as we should have stuck to the original debt repayment plan and put the football fortune into the football as doing this successfully would have gained even more football fortune. Given the place we were in in the league over Morrell's first 2 seasons then a push over the line was all it would have taken. Adequately replacing Obeng and Fowler rather than signing Alfie and using Joe Clark would have been a start.

I agree that it is very easy to say this with hindsight by the way but it is common business practice to invest in your business to continue to grow revenues. You don't see many business's paying off their premises mortgages early, they invest profits back into the profit making business.
