"Crewe Alexandra can announce the permanent transfer of Brad Walker to Shrewsbury Town for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old has been immediately loaned out by the Shrews to Wrexham for the remainder of the 2018/19 season.

Walker has penned a one-and-a-half-year contract at the Montgomery Waters Meadow, with the option of a further year."

We're definitely better with him in the team than without even if I don't rate him as highly as others. Its been done quickly which is good too as he's only missed one game.

About my thoughts.

Not a love of Akil Wright to be honest, he seems to be getting alot of game time lately as well.

It will be if we get a fully committed Walker back as he knows he is playing higher up next season come what may, psychologically he may switch off in games unintentionally as it makes no difference to him win lose or draw, we should still be looking to strengthen this piss poor midfield, not just Summerfield has gone off but so has Young.

Glad we have him back. But, will it be the same Walker as before or will he not bother trying as he will be playing in League 1 next season?

The lad himself, has said, nothing's changed, and he wanted to come back, and, in his words, wants to finish the job. That means, he'll give his all, to help us achieve promotion. Myself, I'am made up, he's back with us, we are certainly a better side with him, rather than without him.

Given Shrewsbury’s current form that’s hardly guaranteed!
