Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs (TBC)
Just been confirmed by club. Sensible signing. At least we're getting business done early doors.

Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs (TBC)
Is this as cover at CB?

Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs (TBC)
Surely Walker and Kennedy on loan from Shrewsbury ends the "Barrow grabbed him by the throat" stories?
|
Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs (TBC)
Who?
|
Who?
Was at Macc last season. Askey took him to Shrewsbury. |
Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs (TBC)
Ex Macc, seems a decent player-cover for Mannys injury I guess.

Kennedy is a permanent move. Well, as permanent as a 4 month contract can be!! Released by Shrewsbury. |
Surely Walker and Kennedy on loan from Shrewsbury ends the "Barrow grabbed him by the throat" stories?
Kennedy was released by shrews I think. |

Kennedy isn’t on loan? Thought he was released the other day? |

We aren’t for off playing a back 3 anyway with Walker, he plays that deep. |
Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs
Looks like a change of formation on the way
|
Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs
343 rather than 352?
|
Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs
good signing good build, all GBs latest signings are big lads, dont push me muthfkr
|
Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs
Can't accuse Barrow of dithering.
Hope the new lads bed in quickly and fire us up the table. |
looks like carringtons brother
but more scared. |
Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs
Shrewsbury fans seem to think he looked decent the few times he played for them. Looks like a solid signing on paper.
|
Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs
Welcome aboard. No messing with GB he seems to understand that the squad needs strengthening and he is doing it.How many more in I wonder?
|
Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs
we must have the biggest squad in the league !!!

Some will be shipped out - if anyone will take them. KK looks like a solid signing. Happy with this one. |
Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs
To have signed this lad on a free when Slops paid a few for him in the Summer seems an astute bit of business. After the knee jerk reaction to Tuesday’s woeful performance, I think that the dust has settled - with the return of Walker, addition of Kennedy and the signing of two strikers who are only going to get better as they settle; we are at least in a position to change and hopefully get back on track.

I was trying to work out who we have now. I have it at 25 including Tharme and Leo Smith, Manny who is long term injured and Tollitt who is close to the end of his loan. So doesn't seem too big. I may have left someone out though! Lainton Dibble Pearson E Smith Lawlor Kennedy Tharme Jennings Roberts Carrington Summerfield Deverdics Young Walker Wright Rutherford L Smith Grant Tollit Holroyd Fondop Beavon Pyke Stockton Oswell |
Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs
Looking forward to Saturday now.
|
Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs
Tollit - What a waste of a signing but classic Wrexham FC. Sign a player on loan then barely use him. Mental.
|
Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs
need a couple of creative players next
|
Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs
I’m feeling better about things... not exactly positive....but not quite as despondent... case of wait and see I guess? Looks a photo fit cross between Carra and Holroyd to me!
At least we are doing (a lot of) business early for once. |

On paper looks a great signing .

He looked decent and had plenty of pace, scored on his debut, but has never started. |

I hope and actually think you might be right,.although I think we need some quality in the middle of the park, to create |

There must be multiple reasons why he doesn't start it's too simple to just shout 'start him'. 1.) If you want to piss off and demotivate our attacking players by dropping them straight away when we (had) been doing well for a newbie go ahead. Shows lack of loyalty and disrupts a team that have flirted with top spot. 2.) Not match fit for 90mins due to lack of games. 3.) Coming back from knee injury I believe so 90 mins on a plastic pitch not the best idea at Bromley. 4.) Player with pace often preferred when defences tiring as impact sub at end of gaame. He scored against Salford after they had thrown the towel in. 5.) Can he match the defensive duties, running closing down of our other established forwards. Maybe he can but I'd doubt it. It's too simplistic to say he should start. |

Re: Kieran Kennedy Signs
I think Tollitt may be here longer, just an inkling...
As for a new formation, at least we have the game on Saturday to try things, get players used to the idea. And if it fails, and we lose... one less distraction from the run in. . |

Cover and the opportunity to play three CB's. However saw Pearson at TF in the hydropool this morning looked like he was carrying a knock and obviously not training so I expect he will be rested for this Saturday. |
