Would we be any better off points / performance wise if Ricketts was still in charge?

Not comparing apples with apples there, not his players and 2 divisions higher. We would be comfortably finishing top 3 under him and anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded. Anyway as RIccardo says it's a moot point

I also feel he would have gone out and got the players we need to make a final push post Christmas. No. I think Ricketts made his choice after the Orient defeat, had we won that game, maybe he would have stayed as his CV would have looked more impressive with a promotion, we lost, and whilst Ricketts may talk the right talk (which impressed the Shrewsbury Chairman) he realised he didn't have what it took to back that up so he jumped ship while the window of opportunity was still there.
As for Barrow, I think his first few games were quite refreshing, January is always going to be a blip time and yes, I am disappointed with some team selections but I also wouldn't pretend to be more knowledgeable than Graham Barrow, but I would rather have Barrow sort this out than Ricketts.

He had a good December and I can't see that we'd have done any better under Ricketts. January has been a horrorshow but we've had 4 games in 12 days, including some very tough games away at Salford (league favourites) and Bromley (plastic pitch team in form) the Dover and Orient Trophy games were poor performances but both games that could have gone the other way quite easily.

My own opinion is that the schedule has caught up with us a bit. Would Ricketts have done better? Who knows. He was criticised for his substitutions. Barrow has brought two strikers in, who haven't really had time to bed into the team, whereas Rickets is the manager who brought in the non firing players.

He's yesterday's news anyway. We have to give Barrow the time to turn it around.
