I think it’s more to do with the way Ricketts went about things to be honest, most didn’t have a problem with Keates, his boyhood club etc.

If his "boyhood club" were in the conference north he wouldn't even considered it.

Both Ricketts and Keates went for more money and to further their career as managers as quickly as possible. So for exactly the same reasons.

Its amazing how differently some fans see them both yet Keates left us more in the crap than what Ricketts did. Ricketts also undoubtedly left us with a better team/squad too and in a better position league wise too. Also I had far more optimism under SR than I did when DK was here. It wasn't Barcelona under SR but it was better than the drivel DK made us endure.

Agree. Let's look at what has actually happened. We have replaced a manager with 6 months experience with someone who managed a team to promotion from league 1 and got them to within touching distance of the premier league until the board cashed in (Luton). I don't see the problem. Also, we are quids in on this arrangement and Ricketts was unable to take any of our staff with him.
