Didn’t you say in another post the FAT money paid off historic debts?

Not signing players? Is this true? We’ve signed a League 1 player until the end of the season. How about Tollitt, Stockton, Oswell, Walker and Lawlor?

Do you actually know how much money we have (net) from the FA Cup match and what monies we have from Ward?

Maybe - only time will tell. Its still relatively early in January and we do not know what will yet occur. I am still suspicious about Manny and feel he will leave. I am happy we have secured the players that we have and feel I am prepared to be patient. I would like to see a midfield player added personally but suspect that the plan with Grant is to play him as an attacking midfielder behind 2. Question is who plays up front ? At least we appear to have some options now. Looking forward to tomorrow and based on last seasons home form of Fylde (who basically thumped many of the top teams) a tough game.

Changes in the boardroom or change in structure or whatever doesn't mean ownership change.
Are changes absolutely necessary?

Surely the board’s job is to appoint a manager and give him the necessary means to be competitive.

We share differing opinions regarding how the last two managers have left but I’m fine with that!

They were used to pay the debts instead of investing some in players and clearing less debt. There was a plan in place to clear debt and some investment in players from football fortune would not have affected it.
Loan players are not really an investment.

Cup monies stated as at least £200k and Ward money over £1m. Dont know to the exact penny though.

Are these net figures?

Is acquiring players an “investment”?

No not yet but I'm asking at what point does it change and how (if things on the pitch don't improve)?

Your counter arguments see very flimsy and I am surprised at some of them.
Aquiring players is an investment if we pay money for them. More chance of a sell on. Not sure about the Grant situation but were unlikely to recoup anything we have laid out.

Not sure if transfer fees attract VAT but what difference does it make to the point? I think the actual figure is far higher anyway but even at £1m its significant and should have bought us a decent forward.

Whats your next point, did we get paid in Euros and the rate has taken a hit?
