Tell me why none of our opposition managers get poached then? Dave challinor for example or Justin edinburgh, tim flowers ect even macclesfield managed to keep askey till the end of the season.

Anyway, that aside appointing an assistant for 2.5 years with no manager in place because he speaks nicely about our fans highlights the boards inconpetence.

I agree about the contract it was plain stupidity, considering we had no manager when he signed it. Has any club ever done that ?

As much good work as the board do they have made some horrendous mistakes and sadly the Barrow fiasco from giving him the 2.5 year assistant contract to the full time one is looking like another. The fact Askey is sitting at home on his arse still is shocking.

After today im not sure which way we go. For the first time in a long time we have funds to get quality in but IMHO the jury is out on that at the moment and thats if they can even get on the pitch.

Reality is i can't see us going up this season and even if Salford and Orient go up this season theres always another better team each year and a surprise team who out do us. So sad to say i think we will be down here for a long time still.

Salford and Orient are also doing their level best to screw things up as well. It seems no team in the league is that good, so it may come down to which one wants it the most. That we're only 4 points off the automatic promotion spot after 4 games without a goal or a point is unbelievable.

Exactly. It was a PR stunt and the cheap option

A little more happens behind the scenes than what's let on, same name keeps cropping up.

Partially explains the past 4 managers.

Mills wasn't sacked for example because of what I heard was an internal war, despite it going t*ts up by Christmas. The sacking of Wilkin similar, a knee jerk reaction to fans critism and had the board split down the middle.

Salford also lost 4 games in a row and were still in contention, what a weird league this season. Ebbsfleet were in financial difficulties earlier in the season, selling their best players, now they are only 6 points behind us. At this rate Solihull will walk the league, crazy with their ground and low attendances they could be a league 2 side next season.
