As someone said: "fine margins". We got away with it yesterday against a very poor team. Lets hope we can up our game here on in, and Lady Luck is back to give us a hand. After all, that was what killed off Salford: scoring quick goals and causing them to change their game plan.

You say RP would be in meltdown almost as if it wouldn’t be warranted. Is that what you think? We made very hard work of narrowly beating an awful team. Hardly encouraging.

Another positive yesterday , six young lads got on the train at Heswall wearing hats and scarves. Never seen them before but hope they enjoyed it and return.

A defeat yesterday would not have been acceptable. Alas, it's often difficult to dominate and win games against really poor teams in the NL, even when we are 'rocking'. At the moment we are 'rolling' like a punch-drunk boxer on the ropes. Thankfully, although we've taken some heavy blows we are still standing.

Alas, we are often more like a Lightweight than Muhammad Ali.

In all serious, I suspect that some RP posters are happier when we lose and their predictions are confirmed.

We are like the proverbially Curate's Egg: good in parts!

Yes I get that and found it very very annoying yesterday with a few vociferous moaners behind us —- that disappeared when we scored. I just don’t get how we are going to get out of this league and really thought it was our year.

I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think Barrow will lead us forward to the league.

That is a perfectly acceptable opinion, based on that losing run and how the manager appointment was handled.

GB was not at fault for his appointment - that decision was the responsibility of the Board.

I had thought Dennis Lawrence would get it, and was surprised GB agreed to take it when the Board's preference fell through for some reason. However, I do think fans' willingness to write off the new management team (GB, MN, JJ and CD) as rather silly, just because things have not gone swimmingly.

Ultimately, we may be successful and win promotion or we may fail. Lets give them the time to get it right. And if they fail, then that is up to the Board to accept they made a mistake and do what is required for the club in the medium term. All I can say is that short-term, knee-jerk reactions rarely work. Give GB a chance!
