The fact that it went in off the keeper scrabbling to get across his line, which meant it just about found the net, meaning it was more fortunate than it needed to be is exactly the same as saying it doesn't count.

And there we have it - the winner of Wrexham AFC goal of the month was Luke Young.
In fact the first and only goal in the whole month - when has that happened before ?

Thought Maidenhead were the worst team to visit the Racecourse this season - absolutely no threat and don't think they had a meaningful shot on our goal all game.

A win is a win but nothing to get carried away about - we need to try and improve and for that to happen an injection of change is required up front - hopefully we look to play the likes of Oswell, Tollitt and Cole far more frequently and Young in midfield to add some pace and movement.

The fact that we struggled to break down and score a solitary goal from a midfielder against very poor opposition says it all.
