Sounds to me he was forced into it. 'Felt obliged'.

You haven't a good thing to say about anything or anybody.

The incompetent board either couldn’t spot those signs or just forced him to take it. Either way it’s a ridiculous way to run a club and heads MUST roll over this.

Agreed.

The sign of him saying "I don't want the job" must have been a real toughie for them to spot.

Barrow should never EVER have been our manager. FFS just keep him in temp charge until we find an appropriate successor and he could have stayed as assistant to a younger coach and all of this could have been avoided. He doesn't have a clue how to manage in the modern game and was obviously a good link between the players and the manager and that was his greatest attribute.

The fact that the board basically forced him into the position because they got their pants pulled down by Ricketts just shows how amateur they really are.

Spot on. Decent fella but made a bad decision in hindsight as deep down probably didn't want the hassle that went with the job at his age but was talked round into taking it. The board need to take responsibility looking at i from the outside for going for a quick fix and easy way out of the mess Ricketts leaving put us in.

It has got to the point now though that I personally think the amount of bile and shit spewed out on here and social media by some towards the board, managers, assistant managers, coaches and players who can suddenly go from hero to zero in a matter of weeks that the club is getting to a stage and could gain a reputation that whoever we approach, be it any of the above, managers, players etc or even just fans volunteering to give their time when some are going to start having 2nd thoughts and think fk that off its just not worth it. I know i defiantly would.
