Well reading that, it is obvious to me he signed a 2.5 year contract as assistant, anticipating being Big Den's right hand man, that didnt happen for what ever reason, and the board were left in a pickle and just asked Barrow to take it.

Why wasn't he as honest at the time.

A lot of assistants are that for a reason, and cant make the move to No1

So he wanted to go back to being a no.2 to a younger coach. The board found a younger coach-who he must have had some say in it- then decided because it wasn't Dennis Lawrence he'd just walk!

If he would of just decided to walk the boards choice of new manager would most likely have been completely different. Thanks Graham:confused:

It was obvious that that was the case, but at his unveiling we were told the board had ‘scoured the country’ and that Barrow was the ‘outstanding candidate’. Why not be honest with the fans? We all knew it, the ‘press’ knew it and the board knew that we the fans knew it. It’s insulting to have pretended otherwise and now it’s come back to bite the club. In future: just be honest with us!!!!!

It was the Lawrence obsession that started all this imo .

Honourable man but what an absolute mess feeling obliged to take a job he didn't want ! That 5 game losing streak will probably cost us the title and maybe even a play off unless BH can work a small miracle. The board really do have a lot of questions to answer.
