New supporter group

Would anyone be interested in creating a new supporters group? I appreciate the work the WST do don’t get me wrong however after recent stories have a risen it leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I’d like to create one which is far more open, for the fans and to host debates and events with some social media etc with an overall look at topics which may be positive and negative giving a more rounded view of the club. It would also be good to raise money for charity etc. Is anyone interested to discuss?

I think if you want change, the best way way is to try change the WST from within with new board members committed to changes. The trust own the club, so any other supporters group will have little influence unfortunately.

It isn’t really to change anything. It’s more a new alternative and a new group that can be designed by its members

After tonight I wouldn’t bother they all think they are doing a marvellous job

I agree it would have to be done under the banner of the trust, but I certainly think there is scope for a sit down to discuss concerns and other improvements we need to see as memebers and that can be taken to the WST board in a professional manner. I’m happy to chair/co-ordinate an initial meeting if people are really passionate about changing the current situation.

I know bud. But I’m not thinking to stir the pot it’s more on the back of what’s happened and what you say that a new open minded group would be good

I think there could be support for a group to discuss and push for changes within the trust. I stopped renewing membership a long time ago, but the more chaotic things become, the more i think it was a mistake for disgruntled fans like myself to leave, as it reduces different opinions and challenges to the board and elections. I wonder if other former members would be tempted to renew if there was a group within the trust committed to change and more transparency, i know i would
