Anyone think Andy Cobra was a stooge , an online presence .
Absolutely not, you are completely wrong there.

Andy is a long standing member of the London Reds I've known him for years and he has no personal connections to any of the board. He's also been posting on here for years.

In saying all this as another member of the London Reds I disagree with Andy and some of our other members (but not all as with the fanbase generally) quite a bit on this.

I'm quite a lot more sceptical about what has happened than many (but not all of our members) in recent weeks (and I do know some board members at least to an extent). I think we need a CEO and/or Director of Football to help the board out and that questions arise over the Barrow/Newell appointments.

But I do think he has a point that a lot of people will lay into the Trust establishment on here then go missing when they have an opportunity like last night to raise questions. Not sure RP is necessarily any more reflection of all the fanbase than the Trust establishment and supporters are.

Re: 'Redpassion is a disgrace

What a stupid statement. Red Passion has its low moments, just like every other football club supporter forum out there.

This forum has done lots for the club over the years through initiatives, sponsorship and just plain word of mouth.

Hell, it pretty much ensured there was a club to be moaning about!

You will get vitriol, you will get idiocy. Yet this is usually cancelled out and then more by open debate, sensible suggestions and outright comedy!

Saying the forum is a disgrace merely makes me wonder if the Board are fearful of the power such a forum can hold? After all, it has the ability to reach thousands of fans, local and worldwide. Does this 'power' threaten the set up they have at the moment?

I don't know.

But if Red Passion is a 'disgrace' I am happy to be disgraceful.
If I apparently share a brain with the rest of you, can I at least have it for a week on Tuesday as I may be in a pub quiz that night?

:)
..and some on there share a brain' said one member at last night's meeting. I wonder how he knows. Could it be that he's a regular contributor on here?

I am sure most on here recognise the saying 'People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones'

He obviously doesn't look at some of his own postings on here and has also forgotten to look at the matchday programme and recognise that 'some on here' have sponsored three of the players this season.

It is easy to cast aspersions in an open forum when you're having a love in with your mates but you need to be very careful with the words used.

Perhaps the speaker will replace the necessary funds provided to the Commercial Dept to sponsor the 3 players with his half of his brain for next season.

I wonder why those on the top table last night are also contributors on here? In fact one of those on the top table was checking RP whilst the meeting was going on!! You only had to look at those on line during the meeting!

Now call me suspicious but you don't think the statement was meant to deflect the vitriol away from the Fans Facebook page do you? I'm hoping at least one of the admins will take him to task!

If you don't like what is put on here, don't read it!!:44 Simples.
I rather discuss matters face to face than on here. How about meeting up over a pint and we can have a frank discussion. Perhaps after the match tomorrow in the Cent. Someone will tell you who I am.
Why don't you stand for the board? That's the best way to change that sort of set up.
You know what i think i might.
I submit that RP has done, and continues to do, more for the club than the good old boy getting beered-up last night.
Who was the beered up old boy? Do you know me?

Suppression of dissent. Fantastic.

I don’t support Ad Hominem attacks on individual directors, but I think to question individual directors is completely fair game. It’s a voluntary role, you volunteered. With that doesn’t just come thanks and sunshine’s if you consistently make ridiculous decisions.

The facts of this are.

The WAFC board didn’t inform the WST board (who represent the owners) of the Barrow situation, because the WST board are unable to keep anything to themselves. So they need to take some responsibility for that.

SH has for a long time been the most vocal, visible member of the WAFC board and gives the impression he owns the club, when in reality he’s just another fan. This makes him therefore the most easily attacked member. At the same time, he needs to take some responsibility, if you can’t take the heat etc.

The board have presided over some absolutely shocking decisions, giving Barrow a 2.5 year extension without a manager in place. Employing MN full stop, never mind on such a long contract. Then out of nowhere appoint a complete novice manager who failed in a league below us, on a 3.5 year contract. You gave the war chest to the outgoing manager, despite the fact he told you days in to his reign he didn’t want the job anymore. Yet RP is the bad guy?

The board I fear has become an echo chamber for their own greatness. Anything that questions them is a “disgrace”. Welcome to socialist football.

Its a shame us normal folk have been lumped in with the lunatics.

I would say he clearly hasnt seen such RP gold as "you shouldnt but you would" and "forward are get one in".

Re: 'Redpassion is a disgrace

RP is a disgrace because it doesnt toe the party line.
The top reds on here moan about abuse given to the board yet they abuse anyone that criticises the board. Double standards or what!

Has RP served its purpose and is it really a tool for the good anymore and does it represent the real views. Yesterday saw the ranks close and the arse covering take place.
The usual voices rolled out yesterday and its all rosey again.

I dont really care anymore, let the board continue in the ivory tower and lets fk up another great chance of promotion. Does anyone really believe that 5 players for 4 months has cost us £200k. Dream on.

We will still be here in another 10 years being fed the same bull and spin but who really cares.
