Keep on posting RP members. We can agree/disagree but the most important thing is 'what constitutes the best interests of the football club'. If the board are endorsing that the overriding priority is financial stability without accounting for the effectiveness of the football strategy then it won't be successful. The evidence is clear the turnover of managers for whatever reason official or unofficial. The recruitment of some players who are not good enough and the negative tactics employed. These are legitimate questions which have not been responded to hence the frustration. Btw good luck to BH and I was interested to hear his comment on the team being too structured. Let's hope we are more creative and more attacking and sign better quality if it doesn't happen.

Last night I attended a village meeting finalizing the community purchase of our local pub. We raised almost £300000 in a matter of a few weeks as shareholders , but here is the rub . There is a leading group of six out of 280 members who have been involved for over five years trying to finalize it. Last night they pleaded more help , but sadly little was forthcoming . Everyone is full of ideas and wants to use the pub , but community action takes huge commitment and energy and I take my hat off to all those who give up their time freely to make things happen , that would otherwise be swept away by a tide of indifference.
Similarly with the WST . I don't know all the ins and outs , but some of the posts on here were of the JUdge and Jury level . Some are frankly embarrassing and seem to Harbour long standing vendettas .
I'm sure the board makes mistakes and yes they probably do need to have a few paid people to take the pressure off , but I am sure that there is much more to recent events that will eventually come out . Their really is no room for division and I wish I could be there on Saturday to give the team my support .
Ps you can still be a shareholder in an old Devon village pub for £100 , but don't expect any return on your money , nor a message board to moan on!!
Good luck with the pub. Our village local closed 3 years ago and the heart was ripped out of the village. We raised £130K in written pledges in a similar time period only to fall just short of the required amount. It was bought by a developer who had every intention of re-opening it (apparently) but 2 1/2 years on from that very little has been done. The building is now a total eye-sore and directly opposite my house which makes it even worse!

What we learnt is that the make-up of the community committee is vital. Ours was made up of retired folk who had the time to give (two of whom were in their 80's). The other problem was that the £130K in pledges soon dried up when they had to stump up the cash.

The model will not achieve promotion given the decision making. That is now becoming clearer. The board members have created themselves a closed shop for decision making and its clear that factions are forming between the 2 boards as people indulge their own self importance.

Despite yesterdays arse covering meeting prior to the MTM event the rifts are clear.

Some of the questions asked were lightweight but that was because the initial statement and timeline of events had been explained which doused the flames.
Richard Ulrich tried to question Gavin aggressively over the Data protection issue which kept the trust board in the dark and whilst he had stated that no one on the trust board knew what was going on Pete Jones admitted that he had been informed last Sunday.
The question over the Barrow contract was asked again for clarification as to when it was signed. (Contracts had been exchanged prior to the Slops fiasco.)
Few took the mike to praise the boards efforts. I applaud their efforts but can't stand the "Love in." they are after all doing the job they want to do and it's an honour to serve the club.
Question asked regarding the need for a CEO. Board suggested that £70k better spent on football team.
Despite the furore on this board and on social media it was never going to be an explosive meeting as most trust members still support the ownership model and the boards.

It's all rumours, opinion and some fact.

Personnally I enjoy reading comments - I take them with a pinch of salt. I post stuff that I read or hear about or comment on postings - my posts are probably as much rubbish as some of the other information.

Some of the posts do sometimes get a bit personal - but it's peoples choice to right such stuff and yes there's moans and groans - but come on , we all support the mighty reds, most of us will try and get to every home game, and if you cut us open , we bleed red - ha ha

The goings on over the last few days are very strange. I dont question the commercial running of the club, but we do seem to get things wrong on matters of communication and some aspects of football management.
Mills - most, if not all of us supported this appointment - we can't blame the board
Keates/S R - how could we have prevented them from being poached from us - not the boards fault
Barrow - now that is a fiasco and is embarressing for the club and the managment
Hughes - we are all surprised , but hopefull.

So keep posting and see you all at the game

An excellent post that in my opinion sums up the views of the vast majority of Wrexham fans.

There have been some strange goings on and hopefully the Boards will have learnt from their mistakes and address matters in a more open manner in the future.

Also, perhaps some posters may reflect on their actions as well, if their views opposing the board are questioned by another RP member, they immediately revert to calling them out and they become arse lickers etc etc and reference was also made to corruption within the board - so disappointing!

I have no links to any board members but I do respect anyone who puts hours and hours into any club or organisation on a voluntary basis.

Hopefully three points tomorrow and a performance can begin to get us back on track.

The facts of this are.

The WAFC board didn’t inform the WST board (who represent the owners) of the Barrow situation, because the WST board are unable to keep anything to themselves. So they need to take some responsibility for that.

SH has for a long time been the most vocal, visible member of the WAFC board and gives the impression he owns the club, when in reality he’s just another fan. This makes him therefore the most easily attacked member. At the same time, he needs to take some responsibility, if you can’t take the heat etc.

The board have presided over some absolutely shocking decisions, giving Barrow a 2.5 year extension without a manager in place. Employing MN full stop, never mind on such a long contract. Then out of nowhere appoint a complete novice manager who failed in a league below us, on a 3.5 year contract. You gave the war chest to the outgoing manager, despite the fact he told you days in to his reign he didn’t want the job anymore. Yet RP is the bad guy?

The board I fear has become an echo chamber for their own greatness. Anything that questions them is a “disgrace”. Welcome to socialist football.
Brilliant post.
