You have taken perverse pleasure in previous encounters with me in resorting to referring to my location as being a reason why I cannot know what’s going on at the Club and therefore can’t have a valid view.
Now you defend people who didn’t attend last night because of their individual personal commitments.

Now thats ironic.
What is ironic is you posting on an opinions forum when all you do is stalk other posters and have no opinion. ha ha. Alanis.

Yeah once, you started crying so I apologised. But then I read that and my jaw dropped.

You attend nothing, not games or anything and yet had a pop at pagl just because he offered reasons why people can’t or chose not to attend. Back in your box.

How about you actually respond to points I made, or can't you do that?
No I didn't go and I'm glad I didn't waste hours of my life listening to that bull sh!t ego trip about how great they all are and the team arse kissing.

My family comes first, humble apologies for that.
I wasn't talking about you in particular but I see you felt you had to respond.

I get the idea of a forum for discussion but make an effort to go to meetings when possible.
I don't agree blindly with everything the club does and have criticised them in the past and raised questions at meetings.

Being unpaid volunteers shouldn't and doesn't absolve them from scrutiny or criticism.
What I don't get is who will do it if this group of people don't?

Do you ever have a day off?
Why dont you just admit that you take the hump whenever anyone calls you out on anything.

The reasons why I can’t attend are fairly obvious. Family.

Which is surely a valid reason, is it not?

Bad start when Pete Jones decided to crack some jokes about the frequency of “meet the manager” meetings (note to Pete: it’s really not funny anymore”).

Then a decent interview. A good structure from Jones, albeit clumsily done. Bryan Hughes was actually quite impressive, much more articulate than I remember . He seemed to have a good insight into why we don’t score goals, and hinted at a return to two strikers playing closer together; to me 433 is a long term reason why we don’t score. He skirted difficult questions with intelligence and a degree of honesty, in particular the question about whether he would leave us early a la Keates and Ricketts; clearly he will.

The second half was a brilliant exposition of game management and control. A united board on stage, fronting a hall which had been packed early (at the front) by loyalists - the nodding dogs. Spencer Harris spoke well and played to this crowd skillfully , asking them questions where he knew the answer would be an infant school supportive chorus of “Yessssss”. From the Board’s point of view some good planted statements and questions too, especially from the nodding dog who seemed to think any critics are “cretins”. So, it was carefully controlled throughout and anyone sitting further back who had anything remotely off the party line to say was given ugly looks and shakes of the head by the nodding dogs, or in this case the “head-shaking dogs”.

Particularly disappointing was Pete Jones’ ramble about how WST ownership is the only way forward; apparently the fate of Notts County proves this. I suspect that when he sees a swallow in May he thinks it’s going to be a glorious summer.

So I left feeling quite sad. It is clear more than ever that this is a clever clique with its head firmly turned against any other form of ownership or ideas. I expected some humility, some apologies, maybe some ideas for how they intend to do things differently in the future, how strategies might change; but alas no. They really are completely out of touch with fans beyond the activist base.

And anyone who thinks Richard Ulrich is the answer ? Well perhaps not. This bloke spent the entire first half glued to his phone and chatting to his mates. He showed not the slightest bit of interest in Bryan Hughes’ answers.
Thanks for this summary. I almost went last night but actually, I'm glad I didn't. I had a feeling it would be closed ranks.

I would have been prepared to ask some 'searching' questions done in the correct way but having read the 'nodding dog', 'shaking heads' comments I'm glad I didn't go.

The board should expect to be questioned, even grilled, over these events plus many more over recent seasons without the person asking the question feeling like they were the unpleasant mess on someone's shoe.

If the Board have/had nothing to hide they have nothing to fear.

Fair play to any who went who did ask the searching questions.

I am sure most on here recognise the saying 'People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones'

He obviously doesn't look at some of his own postings on here and has also forgotten to look at the matchday programme and recognise that 'some on here' have sponsored three of the players this season.

It is easy to cast aspersions in an open forum when you're having a love in with your mates but you need to be very careful with the words used.

Perhaps the speaker will replace the necessary funds provided to the Commercial Dept to sponsor the 3 players with his half of his brain for next season.

I wonder why those on the top table last night are also contributors on here? In fact one of those on the top table was checking RP whilst the meeting was going on!! You only had to look at those on line during the meeting!

Now call me suspicious but you don't think the statement was meant to deflect the vitriol away from the Fans Facebook page do you? I'm hoping at least one of the admins will take him to task!

If you don't like what is put on here, don't read it!!:44 Simples.
You were there last night and so was I. Why did you wait until you got on your computer before confronting me? I didn't rush off. I believe that constructive criticism is a healthy thing but not abuse, and let's be fair RP has contained a lot of stuff which could be construed as abuse, certainly against Spencer.

Is there a reason you specified RP, rather than social media in general? I completely abhor the personal abuse of Spencer and others; however I wouldn’t have said this is the only place it happens.
