I can see why they would on transfers, incase anyone steals the players, but on managers wanting to leave why would they care if there’s a leak? We aren’t a massive club would anyone really care if Barrow wanted to leave? Would they have sponsors on the phone threatening to pull the plug, losing endorsements, having media lined up outside.

Stuff becomes common knowledge in football circles before it gets leaked on here. Other managers were aware of Ricketts leaving a day or 2 before the club announced it.

Because Barrow told them he wanted to leave for personal reasons. That is why they didn't want it leaking.
How would anyone one on here feel if they told their bosses something personal and the next day...the rest of the UK/ World knew. Also what would the other employees think about their employer.
