Lawlor (7) Good game spoilt by a few crap passes.

Pearson (7) Good game.

Jennings (7) Good game and unlucky not to score. My MOTM.

Young (7) Worked hard.

Walker (6) Needs to impose himself more.

Wright (6) Thought he played well in the first-half, then went awol for 25 minutes. Got himself into good scoring positions but lacks composure.

Grant (4) Looked slow and contributed little. Looked better when he dropped deeper. Could be he’s just match rusty, but should be doing more.

Stockton (5) Rather static but he hasn’t played much. Needs more game time.

Tollitt (7) Again he’s not fully fit but he was the only player with pace and control to attack their defence. Hope we can extend his loan, for we will be poorer without him.

Subs:

Beavon (7) Our new super-sub.

Rutherford (7) Upped the ante when we needed it.

Carrington (N/A) Not on long enough.

Should have been about 7-0 but for their keeper and Wright’s lack of composure!
Nevertheless, an invaluable 3 points, with hopefully better to come!
How on earth BH is going to carve out an away win is beyond me with a midfield who can't control a game and a strike force who can't score

You just know this season is going to follow the pattern of last season. So bloody frustrating.

And why oh why do we have so many unfit players in February?

The tone is set by the amount of goals we score. Like you, I think our midfield is not good enough, but if we had taken our chances yesterday, folk would be more upbeat.

Some fans would challenge by saying, ‘but that’s only covering up the cracks’. That might be all we can do, now. But if we can score more goals this would be the Ployfilla we need until we can remove some dodgy walls and bring in a decent plasterer in the summer.

It won’t be easy - especially if Tollitt leaves after next Saturday - but we have as good a chance as any, provided we take our chances.

Lawlor, Beavon, Rutherford, Tollitt -6's
Lainton, Roberts, Walker - 5's
Wright, Stockton, Grant - 4's

A win is a win, 3pts, onwards and upwards!

I know we all see different things in a match but some comments on here are absolute RP gems. Tough week and we have come out of it better than we started. Some of the ratings quotes are ridiculous. No doubt the substations changes the game, Beavon looked a class aboves.

Lets hope BH gives everyone a chance to impress before the end of the season.
Not many players grabbing their chance at the moment so plenty of scope for changes.

That's the point though, he didnt score them and the way he missed a couple of them was laughable. I was really pleased when we signed Akil but unfortunately he is going to go the same way as the likes of Jamie Tolley and Christian Smith in my opinion.

Seriously something has to be done about Lainton's kicking pdq. His general goalkeeping is very good.

Lainton (6) Not much to do on the whole, couple of routine saves- lucky to get away with a wayward kick first-half.

Roberts (6) Improved and some decent pieces of play down the right

Lawlor (8) Thought he was excellent! Two vita tackles/interceptions and a solid game all-round. MOTM.

Pearson (7) Standard. Threat in the opposing box too.

Jennings (7.5) Defended well and was a menace going forward.

Young (7) Good work ethic, always looking to attack and create

Wright (5) Got to be there to miss them but dear lord, that was some shocking finishing. Battled ok at times

Walker (6) Mixed bag

Tollit (7) Was impressed and nice to see a player run at defenders!

Stockton (5) Started ok but faded

Grant (5) No real moment of quality apart from that rasper of a shot which hit the crossy

Beavon (7) Changed the game and a clinical finish

Ruthers (7) Caused them problems down the right

Carra (N/A)
