He's cover. I think it's fortunate we got a CB willing to drop two divisions to act as cover (that wouldn't happen every day) but that's his job.

He'd probably do alright for us, decent defender from what (very) little I've seen, however Pearson is the best defender in the league bar none and Lawlor may very well be 2nd at the moment (he's definitely top 5), you can't drop either.

Slightly off topic: It'll be very interesting to see if we offer Manny Smith a new contract in the summer. I mean, I think we should regardless but Lawlor's made it so we haven't missed him during his time injured.

Manny is over rated in my view - great in the air but too many times when unchallenged he heads it straight back to the opposition.
But his main weakness is he wont open his mouth and communicate - a massive asset for such a critical position (compare with Pearson).
Would be happy to release - Tharme is the future - give him his chance to step up.

Have to disagree apart from the communication bit.
Manny is excellent for this level and as for Tharme its too early to judge.

Because there was nobody available to cover at the time - both Manny & Tharme injured at the same time - unless you would be prepared to drop even lower down the pecking order and throw the likes of Beaumont into the mix.
