In previous correspondence I may have given the impression that the appointment of Bryan Hughes was an act of such idiotic proportions that it would echo through future generations as perhaps the worst example of managerial ineptitude even by the standards of this much-maligned club.

I now accept that it was in fact a masterstroke of recruitment. That indeed the country was scoured and the process of talent identification was so finely tuned as to unearth a talent hidden in plain sight from others.

I've come to the conclusion that a pre requisite of posting on RP a member must have absolutely no idea about football and must be able to espouse a range of detailed theories that are totally unfounded.

Too early to tell whether Hughes will be a success but I am more confident now than a few weeks ago.

As a fan who can never go to a game, based on RP posters (generally) I thought we were hopeless and would be hammered!

Off to go fishing with a huge smile on my face!

Either way promotion or not, the whole situation that happened needs to be evaluated in the summer and decisions need to be made on the board moving forward. It all can't come out like that again, it was embarrassing. But for now we all pull together and concentrate on what matters, promotion!

Agree. It may be water under the bridge after the last couple of results but the situation needs to be addressed! Far to closed shop for me. It will be funny handshakes next👍
