Said this on another thread but since his injury we have massively improved. Before he was injured his passing and dead ball distribution was terrible and if anything he seemed to be getting worse. I wouldn't be rushing him back in the squad yet.

Young has been excellent since coming in for Summerfield, i wouldn't change that midfield unless injury forces it too. It's got a good balance with plenty of energy to press teams.

Lainton, Pearson, Manny, Summerfield, Beavon have been amongst our best performers this season. I’m also hoping that Yozzer will get the best out of Grant.

Great squad depth.

Luke Summerfield got National League player of the season in my 2nd season as Wrexham manager on Football Manager 2019, surely he has to go straight into the side if fit.

Seriously though, I still dont rate Akil Wright, but sometimes you just find a winning combination in midfield. Best left as is for now.

Bar new injuries then what improvements would be made to the match day squad.
Pearson in without doubt so imagine Kennedy to the bench.
Beavon to be used as impact sub?

With a keeper on the bench then that leaves 2 places.
Has Grant really improved the team?
Summerfield gives a midfield sub option.
Stockton or Holroyd?

Interesting selection problems.

Tollitt going back is going to disrupt the balance and I hope were looking to replace him especially without Pyke as well.

On Saturday i’d like to see:

Lainton

Carra Pearson Lawlor Jennings

Walker Young Rutherford

Beavon Oswell Tollitt

Bench-
Dibble
Kennedy
Stockton
Holroyd
Summerfield

And yes, when Tollitt goes it’s so important that we replace his pace.

Beavon is not a winger, and although neither are any good at scoring i think Akil gives us more in midfield than what Rutherford would. Especially as we seem to be crossing a lot more under Hughes and Akil gives us that presence as a no10 in the box.

This statement seems to be put in doubt from Bryan Hughes' comments on the Leader website today:-

"We were hoping that Summers might have been available quite soon but he has had a reaction and he has gone backwards a little bit so he is going to be out as well."
