Default Re: Betting Odds

It's at times like this I wish I hadn't bet on Orient at 14-1 pre season; though it wasn't a massive bet. They aren't in great form though but will mainly be favourites as the bookies odds reflect who people have bet on.

Could be quite a lot of people, a lot with bigger bets than me, who bet on Orient at biggish odds pre or early season when the bookies had Salford as 2-1 (or shorter) near certs to win it, so the bookies may have most liabilities if Orient win hence they are shorter odds now.

Also bigger teams, us included, tend to get more fans betting on them which also alters the bookies books and liabilities. That'll be case with Orient as well

The other way round teams with fewer fans who will have had bets placed on them may be better odds still than they should be; Solihull perhaps but Fylde and Eastleigh certainly. Eastleigh are the form side at the moment even more than us. 66-1 at Sky Bet. Massive betting value.

Exactly, bookies odds are only representative of how much money they've taken on each team.
22/1 on Eastleigh for promotion looks a very decent price considering the run they're on. Not many top teams left to play either. Couple of quid stuck on them!

Left it late and only managed 6/1 - but on promotion as champions or through the play offs.

Have stuck a fiver each way on them at Sky Bet. They'll give you a third the odds if they come top 2. The other alternative is as you've done to bet them for promotion (covering play offs).

In any event Eastleigh at 66-1 look huge betting value the real standout.

Done Wrexham at 20/1 twenty each way
Also
Liverpool to win
Sheffield Utd each way
Reading to be relegated

Just want Wrexham promoted though - bet would just be icing on the cake
