Hard fought 3 points - poor first half but came alive in the second.

Supeb cross from Young for Akil to score - get in there

Rutherford has zero quality, hard work only gets you so far, you need talent to go with it!

Akil more effective as well.
Probably fair enough for Akil but he missed as much as he created. Thought Kennedy was solid and great to have Pearson back. Good result against an obdurate side.

Thought he stood in well but you could see he was out of his comfort.
Lost a lot of headers for a CB but made some clever moves forward using space inside and outside to feed Rutherford.

Akil is key playing further forward. He is the only midfielder who actually gambles and gets into the box and always seems to have chances even if he does miss his fair share of them.

For those bemoaning Wright (wrightly or wrongly), he did what he’s in the team for. Getting in the box on the end of crosses. Let’s face it, if he was better technically, he’d still be at Fleetwood in league 1.

It took Young half an hour to have a meaningful touch but like Wright, he did what he’s in the team for.

If I'm being honest first half we just weren't very good, no one really stood out.
Second half we improved slightly, I thought Rutherford was more effective second half, Pearson and lawlor were rocks as usual.
Wright took his goal well but I think he had one of his poorer games overall.
Jennings was disappointing after recent games and Kennedy is not a right back. He went from good to liability far too often.
But, it's three points and that's all that matters. If we keep doing that for ten games I won't care!

My opinion was he wasnt MOM as there were better players.
Excellent 3 points in windy conditions.

He wasn’t, you could choose any of the back 4 before him apart from a couple of mazy runs that came to nothing he was anonymous. Oh apart from nearly taking the scoreboard out with that cross in first half.
