Indeed and who decided to announce the raffle winners whilst play was going on?

Yes I think your right.

Same as trying to hold a minutes silence for the Gresford disaster at the Deva before a tension filled derby - there's always going to be a minority who have no standards of decency - and it will happen again - still think that applause rather than silence would not allow the morons to spoil the occasion.

As stated on other threads - we as a club are not used to it - big clubs, with big police forces deal with these things week in week out.

We go from miniscule away followings with no risk fans game after game - to yesterday - not a massive following but enough idiots within their midst to cause plenty of problems if left unchecked - problem is the infrastructure is not used to it - if we went up to L2 'the system including the policing would improve based on more frequent practice.

Talking about disruption - some may have noticed that yesterday's game clashed with an open day at the University - putting additional strain on parking, facilities, ingress and egress from the University - especially with a 7,000 crowd. Said it before - the club should closely liaise with the University for the benefit of both and the rest of us. It would have been better for the Open day to have been arranged next Saturday or another day to avoid a clash of interests.
Suggesting the areas Uni move their Open Event.. Think not Universities have a tight and busy schedule for attracting students and the are still over owners of The Racecourse.
Perhaps the club could move their fixture to avoid Glyndwrs events. Even better just live together with better policing.

Totally bizarre. Wait for a break in play, actually it’s sort of thing that should be announced at half time

Spot on. Every season since moving to the Amex, Brighton have moved their fixture to the Friday or Sunday so as not to clash with the University open day (which is 300 yards from the stadium).

Let's not run away with the idea that Glyndwr Open Day is a massive event. No reason why a game can't be on at the same time as the numbers who attend are not massive.

It was compounded by them also having a panto on during the afternoon.

A felllow DSA committee member went down early on Saturday and coned off the accessible parking area, I was on duty there form 12.30 until other volunteers turned up and I could get on with other DSA stuff.

It's a question of all parties sitting around a table and discussing these things well in advance - something I get the impression could be improved.

And I'm not having a go at the University - but next Saturday with us away at Orient and the Open Day now done - the place will probably be like a ghost town.

It should be all about getting as much as possible out of match day / open day for both organisations - brassing people / motorists / visitors off with congestion and queing doesn't help anybody - in fact there is a potential for it to detract from people coming back to the town - alternatively we could just leave it all to chance.
