Suppose this depends on if we go up or not...

If we do then id say we would need to heavily improve both the midfield and attack

If we don't then id say we are two quality signings away from promotion if we keep most of the squad.

I would say that the back 5 are good enough for league two, but we would need a massive upgrade in midfield and attack.

How do you keep a player motivated if he knows he might lose his job if the team is successful?

Its up to him in my opinion. Many players have risen through the leagues with their clubs. If they feel they could not get into the team in the next league I am sure members of a promoted side would have little problem finding teams in the conference the next season.

The players should be made to train like dogs. Flog them into the ground. Yomps up Snowdon, military assault courses etc all summer.

Whoever's left standing gets a new contract come August.

I presume they are bonuses for promotion and if they are surplus to requirements next season, then the promotion on their CV will help them get another club.

They could be surplus to requirements if we stay down , so the promotion will help them in what could be an inevitable search for a new club.

If we didn't go up I couldn't see them getting rid of the majority of the squad. I think we need two quality midfielders and it will come good and solve our goal issues as well.
