? Not in this game he didn't.
Arfon had a decent one on one chance, but there was no penalty.

It was quite a miss that must have cost us a bomb.
My memory was of a freezing cold day with a huge fleet of Crosville double deckers rolling into Burnley, and a semi naked Fred Tunnicliffe crowdsurfing their kop before the game.
Raced home afterwards to see it on match of the day to find Bob Lord had banned the cameras and there were no highlights.

It wasn't a miss. The keeper anticipated the strike and dived the wrong way, unfortunately the ball hit his trailing foot and was cleared.

About 30 of us from Rhosddu all aged between 16 and 18 went on the first train, we arrived in Burnley about 2pm and it was a mad dash to the ground, getting in was chaos with hundreds of Wrexham fans attempting to get in the Burnley ' Longside ' I think we were one of the last to get in before the turnstiles shut and remember us all walking through the Burnley fans with our wrexham scarves on and into the awaiting huge open end which was already rammed with Wrexham fans.

Spot on in all respects, InsideLeft. Was at the match with my father (Gwilym Hughes) who was seldom without his Super8 camera. I knew he had recorded bits of the game; I also remember seeing it back after on the reel to reel. My father has a treasure trove of footage, much of which is now at Aberystwyth in the National Archives, & most has now been transferred to digital. About 3 years back, I asked him about the Burnley footage. Boy... was it hard to trace. He had inadvertently mis-labelled the match. Phew !!! Now it is available for all & is surely unique. Just after putting it on YouTube, I bumped into Arfon Griffiths & Brian Lloyd in town.... both were fascinated by the footage being available.

Enjoy all ! COYR

Part of Arfon's sitter (1m35s) and the deflected goal (1m41s) are on the footage.... trust me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cudf04Gmt-M&t=2s

Hopefully, my dad's footage (1m35s) can verify your memory of the moment, Quay Red. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cudf04Gmt-M&t=2s

Aahh, happy days, I remember it well, a bunch of us went onto Manchester after the game to stay with mates from Wrexham there. Great weekend, non stop singing and drinking, happy as Larry even though we lost!
