Travelled all the way to Burnley. It was pay on the gate. Lots of fans were refused entry on the day. When the gates opened 20mins before KO there was plenty of room on the terraces. Bob Lord was cursed from that day on.

On one of the first double decker buses to leave King Street.

Broke down in Acton and was one of the last to arrive in Burnley.

What a day though. If memory serves me right didn't we take in the region of 12-15,000 to that match?

Just a distant memory now. 12 year old and a huge away game and it was overawing.
Pity we lost with all the 1,000s that travelled.

That's hilarious!!!

I was on one of those buses. It was slower than trekking across the Sahara on horseback.

It was about 15k as far as I remember. An armada of Crosville double deckers up the M62

TV cameras were banned by Bob Lord so no record that I know of. What a horrible man he was.
