Do not think prolific striker is the issue in reality. Danny Rowe would not have scored for us today as midfield would not have created any chances for him. Midfield so deep they are not creating chances. Stockton had best effort today but he had crests that for himself.
A bit controversial but is the one man upfront which is resulting in our low goal scoring a Darlington tactic? Highlighted today on BT that we had no one on field with more than 4 goals. Made clear my view that cannot carry Ruthers & Beavon in same team as a goal hindrance, but surely when we simply do not create chances a rethink is needed.

Put it another way, if today was the 1st of a 2 leg playoff semi, would you be reasonably pleased with today going into the home leg? Probably a bad comparison but I really think we need to take the positives out of today and our recent run.

You just try to isolate individual moments and results and when a defeat doesnt suit the optimism we should have then we are all wrong.

Were not good enough, we dont have enough 7/8 rate players, we dont have enough goal scorers and we struggle against better teams.

Lets hope we keep in the top 3 and dont bottle it.

I still believe that we will finish in the top 3.

It is typical of this forum, many on this site read far to much into a single result.
We win a couple of scrappy wins all of a sudden IT'S OUR YEAR !!.On the other hand we lose one and the world around us is caving in.Pathetic

Beavon worked tirelessly and creates havoc but he has no support . When Beavon went off we created nothing other than a long range effort from Grant . Oswell and Stockton seem to want the ball on a plate and struggle to hold the ball up . I accept the conditions were difficult with a fierce wind but I expected the two substitute strikers to be more mobile and demanding of the ball

While you may be right which team in the league does meet the requirements you mention?
