Tuesday will be interesting to see whether we have the mettle to rebound after a disappointing result.
The good thing is the opportunity to bounce back comes around quickly. Like any gane Barrow will be no easy task.

Ricketts had seen through Rutherford 's limitations which is why he preferred JMD early season before the fall out. The fact that JMD has still scored more for us this season than Rutherford says it all.

Why lump the ball to an isolated striker, who’s probably 5ft 10 at the most. He gives 110%, but when he does win flick ons who is around him.
Not sure what Grant did yesterday , or in fact Rutherford.
Once walker went off we lost all forward options. At least Akil when playing in an advanced position gets into the box.

It was just a poor showing, a scrappy goal, we have to move on and win the next two home games.
The other top teams have to play each other, it’s still in our hands in my opinion.

I feel that losing walker was very significant.

Not really it was not having any decent midfielders in the squad or on the bench to replace him. Even if he didn't get injured we wouldn't of scored if still playing now.

Any news on Walker's injury? Big week ahead, another 6 points would be just the tonic we need COYRs

I rarely put up a reaction to a game, as you win some and lose some so no use going overboard, but will today. Very little skill from either team but the blustery conditions didn't help anyone. Orient looked tidy but offered little. We looked organised and hard to break down. Both teams played a hard game with 100% effort but Orient had 1 or 2 tidy players on the ball. The left back who moved to right back was excellent and destined for better things. Defence solid so no problem there. Midfield worked hard but little creativity, but no surprise there. Felt for Beavon as he fought hard and won his battles just a pity no support. Looked better with 2 up top for them last 10 minutes and is an option I would go for in the last games. Is it doom and gloom? No. A possible 27 points up for grabs and I think 20 will do it for us as everyone is dropping points. Was an old fashioned fight were only points were important and even though we lost I quite enjoyed the game. Now I wait for the flak. Oh and a word on ref. Was very good and took into consideration what was at stake by not flashing cards around. Yes made the odd little mistake but they all do.

We had the better of them first half
was a shitty deflected goal for them
both teams had moments when passing and play was tight and good
a point would have been deserved on balance.
If that was the toughest fixture for us in run in then not end of world

Barrow - really important to get 3pts. Tuesday

Def still in this

Thanks for that. Watched it on TV and felt they were marginally better than us, but the goal came through poor defending, when a weak clearance hit one of our players and came back into the melee.

I hope we revert to 4-4-2 hereon in, and try Oswell and Stockton up front. I also think Beavon and Rutherford would be better coming off the bench for the last 30 minutes.

It's not over yet. Win all 9 games and we might yet sneak it - although I think that unlikely. Main objective must be to finish in the top 3; not a given, but something we are capable of doing.
