Is he out for the season then?

Massive blow and I have severe doubts about our midfield without him and Summerfield.

Step forward Mr Deverdics. Or Rutherford to midfield.

Is there anybody else?

Re: Walker goes back to the Shrews to recover.

Ricketts believes Walker will benefit from spending time with his Town team-mates ahead of next season.

The Town boss said: "We'll pull Brad back in and he'll do all his rehab here.

"It's disappointing for him that he's got injured, he's been in a real rich vein of form and playing very well.

"We'll get him back in, it's disappointing for him but it's good because we can get him in and around the building, meeting all the players.

"He has been here a couple of times already but to he'll have a sustained period of time here so he'll settle in well and we can start working him towards next season now with his fitness and everything we want to work on.

"At least he'll be around the building now now and when he gets fit will determined if and when he plays again next season."

Nope. I think that's him gone so where does that leave us loan wise to try and bring someone else in?

Id put Rutherford in Midfield and I think we are going to have to start the new lad on the wing. Not great and tonights game isn't ideal with the crap weather. We can't play hoof ball with the way the wind is.

This name calling is embarrassing. Get over it. You'd have done the same as him by the way.

The same as the cringe worthy and truly awful UTST. Embarrassing and chav.

I'm all for a good moan, that however just comes across as bitter and jealous to me. We all know we'd have all done the same given the opportunity. Plus it smacks of double standards. hey ho, just saying. :)

Ricketts is a snake but I agree, I thought I was the only one that hates UTST.

In terms of Walker, I think we wont realise just how good he is/was until we dont have him. Holding midfield is alot more of a specialist position than people realise you cant just stuck Rutherford in there.

I think he is done with us too.

We didnt address either CM or CF issues properly in Jan so we will now pay the price.
Be square pegs in round holes to finish the season.

ha I'm only happy when I'm moaning though! and yes I'm still bitter about! and besides talking of double standards I'm pretty sure it was you who named Coughlin 'The Tree' and referred to him by that name? :)

Nope, not me. Although I may have called him it after the many times he fell to the ground like one.

My double standards comment was more aimed at when we appointed Wilkin. He's clearly a snake too. :)

You are by no means the only one who hates the UTST tag and, yep, we need to move on from Ricketts and the name calling. As for losing Walker, I am always surprised at how quickly we adapt to enforced change or loss. Let's hope for tonight.

You'd do the same!
We all would.

I agree about Walker, although it took me longer to appreciate him than it did others. But after watching Wright fade in and out of games on a consistent basis we really will miss him.

A midfield of Wright, Young and Deverdics is frightening.

Am I mistaken or did I read when he signed that Kennedy could also play midfield?

If so, just wondering if people think that's an option, with Roberts returning at right back?

Not saying I want that to happen. Just asking the question, is there an alternative with the players we have left?

Won't be popular, but if fit then Carrington I would have thought.

Won't be surprised to see another loan though.

Good shout. From what I've seen of him that could well be a possibility as he is very composed in possession.

Would rather Carrington at RB but needs must with regards to Roberts.

What up with Summerfield?

he can yes, also he could go to CB as Lawlor is very good in midfield too, BH has seen him play there before apparently

If that's the case Lawlor in midfield and Carrington to go in at RB. Been said many times before but Carrington in the midfield is not a good idea.

Roberts at RB and Kennedy holding CM for me :)

I would say Kennedy is the better footballer, and you need better footballers in the midfield. Hughes is going to have to have a look at both really unless he has somebody else in mind externally.

My apologies, i thought it was you who first come up with it, was quite funny and apt too!
Anyway I've mentioned it on a few threads but anyone fancy Kemy Augestein as a replacement for Walker? Pretty sure he's still a free agent?

You need your share of luck to get promotion. To lose a key player for the last 9 games is a big blow and while we shouldn't feel sorry for ourselves you start to wonder.

Going to take a massive effort from the squad to get the job done from a point behind and played a game more.

We keep hoping and praying though.
Season over.
I think Kennedy could do a decent job, the season will be over if we continue with Beavon upfront.

John Neals Dynasty 12th March 2019 11.31:42

Re: Walker goes back to the Shrews to recover.

My preference would be Kennedy holding midfielder as he is a player who brings the ball forward from defence, stick Roberts in at Right back unless Carrington is now fit, Roberts won a few MoM performances early season he has had a rest.

But we need Flynn who was scouting at Norwich to identify a midfielder fit for purpose on loan.

As to the snake talk he is history I think Barrow was a bigger let down taking a job he didn't want and it's the defeats under him that could cost us promotion

How far off is Summerfield?
If Saturday is anything to go by it will be Young holding with Grant playing the more advanced role.
Kennedy is definitely an option as a holder and keep Young higher up.
