Re: Barrow Reaction
To be fair Foxy has said this from day one. I've always hoped to see him get past the halfway line, maybe get a cross in, just once maybe? Hasn't happened.
Imagine playing a front three with barely ten career goals between them? Beavon plays on his own, never scores and if he brings anyone into play, they've never scored ever either. Goals win games and we have centre halves who are more likely to do so. We can't carry on like this, can we?

Re: Barrow Reaction
The players deserve every bit of criticism coming their way. Spineless performance.
BUT, welcome to management Bryan Hughes. An appalling day at the office. Wrong formation. Wrong team selection. Tried to change formation after 15 minutes, but moved Tollit central when he looked like the only positive on the left. Got to half time and did absolutely nothing. Wrong subs and brought on that disgrace Stockton who never got off the ground. Rutherford as a centre mid, if he likes him there he should've started him in a 433.. Unfortunately a very rude awakening for him. Shocking. His next team selection will determine my judgement on him as a manager. Show some balls and change it. |

Re: Barrow Reaction
They did a job on us. No effort from any of the players. Awful performance. No midfield and no one to score goals. Its amazing how a change in formation has a negative impact!
We'll be lucky if we finish in the play offs if we continue to play like that! |

Re: Barrow Reaction
We played like a team of strangers tonight.
No Walker and Pearson on the back of defeat at Orient meant Hughes panicked and changed the formation that got us here. That was a big mistake. Can't wait for the ratings thread |

Re: Barrow Reaction
We capitulated from the first kick.
Gave them a quick corner, pathetic defending and once 1-0 down we were up against it. They were bang average but were were bang gash. No leadership, no responsibility, no pattern of play, no threat, no pride in performance. Was this a 1 off or the culmination of months of getting away with it? Seems were about to bottle it again and the pack behind is closing fast when it matters. Or maybe the rose tinted crew can spin this one on its head and say we can still win it If anyone can pick out a positive from tonight then they need to leave the drugs alone. We are now paying for the mistakes in January and the total lack of ability right across the squad. Oh I found a positive - Grant isnt as bad as Gashman - see Morphine isnt good. If we dont send him back tomorrow then something is really wrong. Last edited by pagl; 12th March 2019 at 21.24:37.. |

Re: Barrow Reaction
Makes you wonder if Hughes has been to the training ground yet, that team had defeat written all over it. Although the wafer thin squad with very little quality we have does not leave many options. But it does make you realise we will be down here for many more years to come.
