I am trying to work out why I wasn’t feeling the urge to rant at any of the players during the game, like I occasionally do....and in hindsight it’s cos (this just my own view) I can’t say the lads weren’t trying. Even Roberts who has had a right pasting in the last 24 hours on here, he didn’t Hide, he Was trying. The effort was there from them all. We were.....just Shit.

So you didn’t miss what I would class as a lazy or disinterested performance from the players, just an inept one.

Cheers.
Thanks Si .

If I had the sort of money sloshing around to invest in a football club no way would I actually do it because by definition an investment expects a return bigger than that originally invested.

Do you honestly think you would get a return investing in Wexham Football Club.....erm no , so is it any wonder no one is coming forward.

You are the one being brain washed

I ask myself do I want to be part of something week in and week out that is controlled by Spencer Harris and his games. The answer is no and I will pick and choose the better fixtures or go if were playing well like the other bandwaggoners.

The whole managerial affair has left a sour taste for me and also shown that the WST were not prepared to act on it or back RU publicly in anyway.
Couldn’t agree more. The way that Spencer has the neck to stay at the club after the buffoonery of the managerial appointments (not to mention the trailed and failed 3 year contracts) has made me cancel my WST standing order and not attend any more games.

So how do you explain the people that do put money into football clubs?
That's where your argument falls flat.

They aren't INVESTORS which is what people are asking for.

No one INVESTS in football clubs. How difficult is that for you to understand.

You are waiting for someone to come forward who will lump in cash knowing they will never see it again.

That's where your argument falls down.Get it now ?

That's about a 9 on the aggression scale.

You are splitting hairs and you're wrong. Investors, private owners, whatever, they are people who aren't out to screw clubs over willing to use their money to put into football clubs. That's a fact. Do you want examples? there are many.

I've not said I'm waiting for anyone to come forward, where on earth did you get that from?

The many examples of people buying clubs and them and the club are thriving is where your argument falls down. It seems you've been brainwashed into believing that fan ownership is the only way and the be all and end all, whereas if you go through all the clubs in this country the facts say the exact opposite. In fact the success rate of fan owned clubs is abysmal.

No one person controls the club in any way.
The nearest any individual comes to running the club affairs in the most dedicated way is Geraint.
The decision to appoint Barrow was a board decision, admittedly controversial given Barrows previous statements and his age.
Richard Ulrich was peeved that the trust board was not kept informed over the subsequent appointment of Bryan Hughes. The WST board were disappointed to lose him but it was pointed out that there was no need for the FC board to inform the WST board.
Richard did himself no favours with his aggressive questioning at the meet the manager meeting.
To say the WST board were unprepared to act is unfair, they are individuals and 11 accepted that the WAFC board had acted within their remit, so there was nothing that required action.

Believe me I'd love a consortium with £100m to waste to ride into Wrexham on their unicorn to take us to the Premier League. It's not going to happen.

Businessmen have made a tidy sum out of Wrexham over the years (some will have lost) but they all did it thinking they were getting a dividend.Pryce made his money and sold up.He was a businessman first and foremost. The club then became a very attractive investment opportunity with investors queuing up to take over.

Since we now have no assets how many investors have come forward ? None.Because your chance of a return is zero.

I'm sure a number of clubs are doing OK from private investment but what happens when that investor pulls out. We've been there.

The alternative to fan ownership is a businessman with a number of millions sitting in the bank that he's willing to risk losing on a hobby.

You need to get real.

The examples you have are a tiny fraction of clubs up and down the UK who struggle to make ends meet every day
