Outside chance of a League 2 play off spot and a massive 3,400 there last night. Tinpot at best

Notwithstanding the fact we were away from home, the expectation of a correlation between attendances and success is really quite baffling.

If you lot got half as excited about the football as you did about how many of you were watching it, perhaps your support would give your players the push they quite clearly need.

Still, it's easier to stand behind the away dugouts throwing punches at the visiting players and management I guess. ANIMALS.

Fortunately not all Newport fans are like you sir. I was in Spain last weekend watching the Scotland v Wales game and had a chat to 3 Newport fans they all wished me and Wrexham fc well and wished to resume our rivalry soon in the football league.

I'd like it if you got promoted as well, but I'm going to continue taking the piss until you do.

Talking about piss, do you still throw that at elderly away supporters? Is that some form of tribal welcome in Newport?

Supporters of this fallen giant, many of whom sport 1980s style moustaches, like to bombard anyone who will listen with details of their European exploits during William the Conqueror's era, and bore their grandkids to death about how they once beat Arsenal back when they were known as Dial Square, with Owain Glyndwr scoring the winning goal.

Not dissimilar to near neighbours Liverpool, Wrexham fans are well known for claiming that "it's aarrrrrr yeeerrrrrr mayyyyyyt" between the months of July and February each year, before reverting to infighting and slagging off their volunteer board members between the months of March and June.

Heavily subsidised by the taxpayer, one has to wonder how much longer this abomination of a football club will continue to have ideas above its station, before it accepts its natural place in the amateur divisions.

Hahahaha!

If they were from Wrexham they were probably appreciative that we acknowledged the local delicacy.

So, tell me, do you still throw bricks at moving coaches carrying women and children back from a football match?
